ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing title bout set for January 2022 (report)

The title ONE Light Heavy Kickboxing appears on the first card of the ONE Championship for 2022.

Marcel Dorf, aka @ BigMarcel24, reported this news via his personal Twitter account.

The ONE Championship hopes the third time is the magic for ordering this World Cup fight. December 2020 and October this year were the two time frames previously designated for the confrontation between Kryklia and Aygun.

In the initial experience, Caricalia’s coach tested positive for COVID-19. Aigon retired from the booking experience on October 29, 2021.

An attempt to continue to place Krikalia against Iraj Azizpur for the same ONE: Next Gen program in late October, eventually fell through. This deterioration was due to the champion retreating due to an undisclosed medical condition.

Roman Cricalia is the ONE Lightweight Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion, and he has been holding the belt since November 2019. He is looking to stand up for the defense of his crown, as he is now two years into his reign.

Cricalia’s recent foray into the ONE circuit saw him defend his undergraduate degree. This came through a unanimous decision against Andrei Stoika in ONE’s main event: a collision course on 18 December 2020.

Murat Aigon is the former super heavyweight world champion of ISKA and former world heavyweight champion of the WFL. He is now looking for gold in another promotion in a completely different weight category.

Aygun was last seen on December 4, 2020 When he defeated Anderson Silva in ONE: Big Bang. The unanimous victory came against substitute Silva after the above-mentioned reasons for Caricalia to leave this event.
